Behavior & Communication Therapy is dedicated to delivering Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior services to Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities including Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders. The services provided to your Child, to You, and to your Group are individualized and designed to increase Communication.

Behavior Analytic Services for your Child . . .
  • Teach Communication: specifically requesting needs, labeling objects actions and emotions, converse about topics, and receptive understanding; (Verbal Behavior).
      > Mands, tacts, intraverbals, receptive
  • Understand Cause of Behavior Problems, and create a plan to Manage and Change these Behaviors; (functional assessment):
      > Reduce Inappropriate Behaviors and teach replacement and more functional behaviors.
  • Social skills: Interacting with peers and siblings more effectively
  • Increase Reading, Math and Writing skills, the building blocks to other academic successes.
  • Teach Daily Living and Independent Functioning skills. Skills need to be more independent within a specific area, less reliant on others, and free to rely on oneself.

  • Understand the Basic Principles of Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior.
  • Understand the application of these Basic Principles to teaching your child new skills.
      > Understand what teaching is.
  • Understand an assessment process that leads to specific skills to be directly taught.
